I have spent years wandering through the streets of this beautiful city, the stories of its people, and its fading memory. These lines tell the story of a work compiled nearly twenty years ago from the trembling voices of our elders and childhood memories: "Atatürk and the National Struggle Memory in Akşehir in Light of Oral History Testimonies."

Until today, the history of Akşehir's National Struggle has mostly been examined through official archival documents and military reports. However, this work represents a first in Akşehir's local history by centering directly on the living testimonies of the people, the voices of our elders who experienced those days firsthand, and the methodology of oral history. Whatever the decision of the peer-review board may be, in this respect, it bears the quality of a unique and pioneering seal stamped upon our city's memory.

This work, written in the format of a scientific article, is currently under peer review. Naturally, due to academic protocol, I cannot share the entire text while it is still under review. Whatever the board's decision may be—whether accepted or not—its true value lies in sealing Akşehir's living testimonies and unforgettable people for the future.

Below, I share an excerpt from the abstract of my scientific article currently under review in both Turkish and English, presenting my love and respect to all my fellow townspeople.
